Nicholas Copernicus (1473-1543)

He was born in the city of Torun in the province of Royal Prussia on the crown in the Kingdom of Poland on February 19, 1473 and died on May 24, 1543 but he had a great education in the fields of astronomer, canon law, medicine, mathematics, and economics. He also spoke Latin, Polish, Greek, and Italian with equal fluency. He is known for Copernicus' Law and Heliocentrism.

What did he accomplish? Copernicus accomplished the theory that the earth is not the center of the universe. He did this by observing previous studies made on the earth and the sun.

When and where did he live? Copernicus lived from the time 1573 to 1543 in the Kingdom of Poland.He was the youngest of four children, and in his life he was never married. He was alive during the Renaissance period, and he discovered there that the earth orbits the sun. He lived up to be seventy years old.  He died in the Polish city of Frombork, and he still rests there until today.

If an astronomer today didn't know all of the details of our solar system, all of their work would be unnacurate. From discovering that the earth revolves around the sun with all of the other planets instead of everything revolving around earth. Since his dads side of his family are a family of physicians and scientists he knew what he was accomplishing in his works and knew that it was a scientific breakthrough. Though Copernicus made a great scientific breakthrough but it was completely going against the catholic church and more importantly the pope who ruled the land so he must have been scared. There isn't much information on what Copernicus thought of his works but he was born into the scientific family that all worked very hard at their works so he must have enjoyed science since he was little and he put in enough effort in his worked to discover what he did so i think he enjoyed his work.I think that copernicus would be the person who would beleive in their being no limit in science. Also copernicus made an appearance in assasins creed 2.
